This page is dedicated to one of my hobbies: the meteorology. Browsing the different sub-pages you will find that the contents of some are updated continuously, offering weather information in real time. On other pages the information is updated every ten or twelve minutes since their contents do not need being updated every minute.
With the graphics and the texts, you will be able to get a clear idea about the present weather looking at the wind yearly, monthly and daily average, its direction and strength, atmospheric pressure, rains, humidity, etc.
The weather station used to get the information is a “Oregon Scientific” WMR928N. It is a 433 MHz wireless station energized by a solar cell. This station measures the main meteorological parameters:
– Wind speed and direction
– In and out temperature
– Windchill factor (external temperature related to the wind speed)
– In and out humidity
– Atmospheric pressure
– Rain
– In and out dew point
To make all this measures the station has three external sensors and one internal. All are wireless connected to the station. Every external sensor has an independent solar cell and transmitter so that can be installed in the best place to get the data. The fourth sensor is inside my house. It uses some batteries and measures the internal temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure.
